Celtic Workshop and Lecture/Recital
The Connecticut Chapter of the American Harp Society (CT Chapter) is excited to announce our next event! On Sunday, May 31, 2026, we will host a Celtic workshop at 2:00 p.m. and a lecture recital at 4:00 p.m. with a reception in between, at Saint Thomas More Chapel, 26 Park Street in New Haven, by Stonington-based award-winning lever harpist Rhiannon Skye. To participate in this fun workshop, we ask you to bring your harp and learn a Celtic piece by ear - the traditional method of passing on music! The piece will be taught at three different levels and sheet music will also be available. Additionally, Rhiannon will treat us to a lecture recital of Irish and Scottish traditional music - ‘Comparing The Tunes and How They Are Played' at 4:00 p.m. that afternoon. These events are free and open to all. Please register by May 15 at: https://www.ctharp.com/chapter-events.html. We look forward to creating and hearing Celtic music together!
A Spring Serenade AHS Student Harp Recital
